I am networking with meetup groups on the Edit the Fed and other key issues. A meetup member in Indiana posted a letter that he recieved from his senator (Evan Bayh), in which the senator talks about everything, including the price of eggs in China, but does not answer him on Senate Bill 604. Bayh doesn't say a thing about the Indiana constituent's concerns and request that Evan Bayh co-sponsor S.604.

This is what I did: I copied Bayh's letter to the Indiana Meetup member, ( I live in New Mexico), and wrote to Bayh and copied my two US senators.

I am contacting all the friends I have on myspace and facebook to inform them of the situation. I talk about this everywhere I go and try my best to inform people as to what the FED is and how it operates, and bills 1207 & 604.

I have posted a copyable letter to the Senate to ask them to support the legislation, I have repeatedly called my reps, emailed and written.

I have written to the local TV stations asking why they are not covering this at a local level. I have written to the radio stations asking the same. I am considering starting a fund raising campaign to promote awareness, advertising using sky advertising during baseball games.

I would like to be more involved if I can, when time allows. I am trying to alert the common person on the street as to the danger they face in losing their freedoms to a tyrannical government sanctioned organization.

Living near Boulder, CO; I am also considering contacting some of the school officials and student body organizations to possibly create a bike marathon to promote awareness. Especially since NONE of the Colorado senators have signed up.

I have begun contacting local printing shops for donations in pamphlets and flyers to hand out.

That is about it for now. Hopefully this will all work.

Calling, emailing my Senatores about cosponsoring S604. Spreading the word to those I meet throughout the normal day, broadcasting to local Ron Paul group to keep all abreast.

Been calling the local talk radio show. Host agrees, but doesn't talk about it unless I call to bring it up. It goes over most of the audience heads, and no one responds to the usual talking points - unless I bring up other freedom info. Any suggestions?

Thankfully, I have another Ron Paul supporter in my band and the others are coming around. We've started writing songs, learning covers and calling our concerts "Tea Parties"

Our latest song is called "Helicopter Ben" which has really worked well at informing people about the Federal Reserve's practices of creating money out of thin air as well as the secrecy to who is actually receiving the trillions of dollars created. I just watched "Sicko", the movie and notice a listing of Congressmen, Senators and President Bush as supporting the Medicare Prescription Drug Law that forbids government from negotiating prices with drug companies. This is not in the best interest of the American people, but favors the drug companies. This could be considered dereliction of duty.

These same people received substantial donations from the drug companies. That reeks of bribery.

Could someone press charges on these people? Perhaps a civil suit against them and the drug and insurance companies that benefit from these corrupt politicians could be perused. It could ask for the removal from office of the politicians and a seizure of the drug and insurance companies. The the government could use those assets to provide free health care for everyone, like some of the countries described in the "Sicko" movie.

This isn't a huge feat to audit the Fed, but today I sent a tweet to @shockozulu that contained the video link to 'Fed Under Fire' on the Campaign For Liberty website and he retweeted it to his 17,000+ followers.

@shockozulu is the twitter account of actor John Cusak - who, by his tweets, is a fan of Paul Krugman & nationalized health care. He has also recently expressed his disdain for Goldman Sachs and had tweeted an article from the NYT that accused them of orchestrating every major economic recession/depression. Hmmm...interesting. I sent a previous tweet suggesting the Fed had the ultimate responsibility in that but here was the tweet that got his attention:

After retweeting, he responded:

Anyways, it's nothing huge but I think it shows that a respectful and intelligent strategy for communicating with people can help open up opportunities for conversations with people about liberty. Liberty is unifying and if you look for ways to present it that appeal to people where they are then the message can spread quickly.

Auditing the Fed is a fine idea, but let's not forget ANOTHER of Dr. Paul's good ideas. Fort Knox NEEDS to be audited. And right now, precious metals prices are being actively manipulated via naked paper derivatives contracts, IMO. It sucks, but it can't possibly last!! Get PHYSICAL gold or (especially) silver NOW, in a form where the person who sold it to you does not store it and where you can stub your toe on it pretty easily. Good luck, all!!

They need phone calls, faxes, and emails, but the most important are the calls to their local offices.

I am a former chairman of the Georgia Libertarian Party. I helped get Ed Clark on the ballot. I was co-chairman of a committee to help defeat a local option sales tax in Cobb County, Georgia. It was defeated by a margin of 59% to 41% in spite of being outspent by 31 to 1. The key to success of my efforts is the same one that you are using, ACTION. Taking positive action. Disregarding naysayers. Staying focused. Being upbeat and positive. Showing people how they will benefit by eliminating the Fed. Asking for their support. Everyone can help in their own way. I am currently asking people to commit 15 minutes of their time every week in their support of liberty. I believe that approach will help. Any positive message that we can disseminate will help. The key is to stay focused on the goal and to keep on trucking.
