I was not born with a corn
I was not born with a corn allergy, but developed one about 5 to 7 years ago. At first I only developed rashes, hives and headaches after having High Fructose Corn Syrup (and Corn Syrup and Corn Syrup Solids). It took a while to figure out what was making me ill, doctors would tell me "its probably just stress".
Today I am so allergic to corn that accidentally licking an envelope's glue (made from corn) made me sick for several days. I nearly went to the hospital after making the serious mistake of seeing a movie in a theater (popcorn in the air), and would certainly have if I had health insurance. I can not even have "salt" unless I know that it isn't Iodized because they use dextrose to bind the iodine to the salt and that is made from corn. I have had to start canning my own jam and pickles because even in the best health food stores I can't find them made with ingredients I can be sure are corn free (vinegar is normally distilled white vinegar which is almost always corn, pectin almost always contains dextrose, etc)
According to the FDA, there is no allergy to corn. The FAAN (funded largely by Monstanto) says that people with corn allergy are mistaken and its just an intolerance, yet hives, malar rash, edema, migraines (including bizarre visual distortions) and on rare occasions difficulty breathing.... these are NOT symptoms of an intolerance.
I believe that GMO corn is what made me allergic. I grew up eating plenty of corn bread, never with a problem. Now a single muffin might kill me and I carry an epi-pen everywhere I go. I have absolutely no faith in the FDA and their "food safety".
good research Shelly !! i-m
good research Shelly !! i-m not sure wether to be happy or sad about i t--- happy that it proves even more that gmo should be avoided but sad that all those memos happened and monsanto and company still got their way and are still producing -- some Indians /as in hindu* / farmers were greatly affected by one time use crops and several committed suicide due to dire circumstances and not being able to use there seed for next years crop, according to some news articles...
