YouTube Yanks "CyberSecurity" Video, Citing "Inappropriate Content"

YouTube disabled this video yesterday due to "Inappropriate Content." It obviously does NOT violate the Terms of Service, but there's no way to contact YouTube to appeal their decision.

It's too bad, since it had about 20k views and some really great discussion in the comments.

Worse, because of this "violation," we are now on probation and could have our account deleted without warning.

Here's more about the Cybersecurity Act

there is no "you" in

there is no "you" in youtube.

youtube belongs to the devil and it's his playground. Really.

Better off uploading videos at competitor sites.

That' really bizarre as there

That' really bizarre as there really is nothing in the video that should violate the guidelines. I really think it's crummy that there appears to be a lack of appeals process or method for inquiring more details to why your video was flagged as objectionable within the guidelines. Due process is an important element in our government and I wish monopoly businesses would also adopt such rules if for anything else to improve customer relationship.

I wonder if the objectionable material was within the comments? But if this is the case they then need to give video owners better controls to removing comments than just reporting it as "spam".

For whatever reason Shelly, some of your content does lure a certain segment of society that you may not be healthy for you or readers to be associated with. For example, one of the first comments to this video YouTube has a comment that states:

"Corruption is in the nature of the Jews all over the world, to the point where only rarely do you find corruption that Jews are not behind."

For my own sites I delete such comments and often ban the writer as these type of comments as these type of comments do not add anything of value to the discussion. I'm all for freedom of speech, but I will not support my content or my sites ever being used to make racist, derogatory, or vulgar comments that promote limiting or disrespecting the rights of others. I think if you want a site that promotes respectful discussion you eventually have to address those that would rather troll the site then offer anything of meaningful value to the discussion.

Yes there are lots of

Yes there are lots of competitors that will not censor now. Eclipptv and some others. I realize half the appeal of posting there are the multitudes of unwashed users, but if you're just posting for your site, yo could archive them all anywhere. Further, if they do remove it, you'll have copies of them all and you could in theory start another account (a pain, I know).

metacafe is one I found but there are others. I'll need to look around a bit. It's also relatively easy, as far as I know, to embed videos on your own site. I was looking through some scripts for this just now to even run a youtube "clone" on any site (reverse engineer it). The biggest problem of these monopolistic web communities to those trying to "pierce the vail" is that a long-term presence is tenuous. In the 'alt.truth" community, we need to have or own versions of all. Interacting with their entities to snag the curious and intellectually adept.

Sorry that you are being harassed. I sent an email but you didn't respond, I guess this is part of the reason why. It's hard to express to a stranger what you think about them without excess uneasy compliments like "I'm awestruck" or without proper facial expressions to draw the distinction between a serious suggestion, a fearful inference, or extraordinary mania. Keep up the good work, again. These sheep aren't worth the risk, but you're heart is too big to not care! :):)

I must have missed your email

I must have missed your email - where did you send it? Sorry about that! And thanks :)

Well youtube is a big thing

Well youtube is a big thing so obviously there will be some rules and regulations. so we should not make a big issue of it.

Sooner or not much later,

Sooner or not much later, the jews will buy out any alternative to Kosher Utube, that does not suck up to them. With Jewish businesses, it's always closed/exclusive shop, frat club--Jew2Jew, threating outsiders are bought or forced out.

yeah , youtube i google owned

yeah , youtube i google owned and that cant be a good thing.

youtube wa good before google bought them

I say we stop using YouTube

I say we stop using YouTube and go to one of their competitors like Vimeo. What do you think? If we put together enough people--I know we could probably get powerhouses like Alex Jones on board with this--to do this, we could definitely make an impact on (not)YouTube's control of vid sharing...
